Step 1) Grab your DE10-nano from Terasic. They have been shipping out within a few days of ordering and might actually ship from within the US
Step 2) Choose analog or digital IO variant
- Analog has native analog audio and video out but only allows for 1 SDRAM module which is fine for all current cores but a future core might need 2 SDRAM modules
- Digital IO does not have native analog audio or video (can use direct video with an HDMI2VGA dongle) but does have a power switch and allows for dual SDRAM
Step 3) Choose case color
Step 4) Order and wait :)
Step 5) Assemble using this video as a guide
Step 6) If your IO board comes with a fan, please remove it before installation. I don't always make time to remove them, so my loss is your gain. (?)

It is amazing how convenient and accurate the MiSTer is. I have been playing retro games on emulators for a decade or two, and this blows any emulator out of the water with the amount of easy customization combined with real hardware accuracy. Pre configured filters can make pretty much any game look like it should on a modern display, getting as close to I have seen to looking like a CRT. Only nitpick I have is that the rubber feet that come with the case slide off if you play for over an hour. The case gets so hot that it softens the glue attaching them to the case. Other than that, really rad kit. Easy to assemble, and looks really nice.
I bought the digital IO kit in Galaxy Gray, and it's fantastic. The build quality is extremely high, and the manufacturing tolerances are clearly well designed. No corners appear to be cut here. I'm very happy with my purchase. The provided instructional video was useful too.
One thing to note is that an upgraded power supply (from the one included with the separate DE10 Nano you must purchase) for the MiSTer is recommended when you add the USB board in this kit and start connecting multiple USBs. This kit does not include an upgraded power supply, so you should also check the MiSTer Wiki for recommendations and purchase that along with a DE10 Nano board.
Order came in quick, As per mention about case design is completely passive cooling and very good at it as mention. Case being a giant heatsink I thought would be hot but is actually just warm to the touch. Extremely well constructed including manufactuing tolerances. highly recommend buying one if complete silence from your MiSter as well not wanting to replace the fan at a later point is a requirement.
only complaint is price as it cost a lot from USD to AUD point of view in terms of time of purchase
After receiving my kit, digital IO and two SDRAM's, I built my MiSTER and had it up and running within a few hours. So far, so good, everything is perfect and the enclosure is exactly what I wanted for my first MiSTER setup. Will definitely order again, thanks!
Needed a solution for cleaning up my setup. I ordered the kit with the purple case and the pictures don’t do it justice. Stunning purple color! The analog io board makes it a breeze to use with the yc active adapter and the USB hub works great, too. I can’t think of anything else I need for my MiSTer, but when I do I’ll order it from here!
