MiSTer add-on boards were designed around the DE10-Nano form factor, which doesn't have a full-sized USB type A port. As such, a small connector is needed to interface the official USB hub.

The USB bracket is compatible with:

  • Caseless setup
  • PCB case
  • Aluminum case
but is likely not compatible with:
  • 3D printed cases
  • other, third party cases

Slight upgrade

My previous board started to fail. I noticed that a pin or two were lifting off the board where the chip is. Looks to have been some kind of corrosion of some sort. Needless to say, bought this new board. I didn't notice at first, but, my old bracket didn't have the two additional pins that this one does. My old board didn't have that either. The new board and this new bracket does, and so far, after only about an hours use, everything seems to work fine.
