Instructions:

  • Load a supported MiSTer core
  • Plug controller > hdmi-style adapter > SNAC/SNAX > USB 3 cable > IO board's USB 3 "User" port
  • Navigate to the option for controls (name varies per core: “Serial”, “SNAC”, etc.
  • Some cores require certain accessories to be used in specific ports. You may need to move the accessory to the other port (SNAX only) or use the “Swap joysticks” option in the core’s menu.

      Must have accessory for your MiSTer!

      The SNAX64 adapter solves pretty much every issue I had with the whole SNAC-system. First off, the adapter can sit nicely on the desk instead of being a bunch of bare PCB's sticking off of your MiSTer, unsupported. Second, the swappable HDMI plugs make it easier to insert the controller you need, and finally the 4 ports are all you need to get everyone gaming. This is simply the most user-friendly solution you can have. Easily recommended.

      works like a charm, only used USB until now. Diddy Kong Racing feels so much better with an original n64 controller. Looking forward to relive some childhood memories. Thank you so much.

      Works Perfectly and Built to Last

      This is the most effective way I've found to get my DualShock and DualShock2 controllers working on the PS1 MiSTer core with behavior that is 1:1 with original hardware. Very cool to see the controllers auto-detect whether to enable analog mode. (I skipped over SNAX (2P-only version) because I have enough N64 controllers to justify buying this.)

      A must-have if you own a MiSTer FPGA. Although I still couldn't get some PS1 light guns and the Genesis SNAC adapter to work properly.
