Good Genesis PCB Controller

DIY- The USB-C female pigtail cable was bit of a tight around the Retro-Bit Controller. But overall putting it together is really easy.

**Out of the Box**
Update Firmware- I hadn't tested the older version because I jumped to the latest version of GP2040-CE (v0.7.11) and ReflexCtrlSNES.uf2 was the older and auto-update version so I manually updated to ReflexCtrlGenesis6.uf2, there wasn't any deference besides the names.

(Also once I done with updating the firmware and head over to steam and started up a game. I fully realized that the PCB has a LED light that was close to the dpad).

Windows (without steam support)- Xbox 360 and Keyboard modes (mostly xbox 360) works and works well on emu but ps3 mode works but their is no button layout on Windows 11.

Steam- Works and any controller layout works on their.

PS5- needed authentication for ps5 console but it works as a wired ps4 controller for 8 min. And unlike the Switch mode, the ps5 lets you change your layout but the ps5 console only let me play ps4 games.

PS3- Works well on ps3 mode well.

Switch- the Nintendo Switch mode works.

Turbo Mode- On Steam, I tried this mode on a fighting game, I can feel controls are as fast as a pressed on them when I increase the speed.

Overall- This PCB controller is pretty good, just that its a bummer that I needed authentication for the ps5 but usually play on my pc. The shipping price for where I live was quiet steep. I wounder if there's gonna be a genesis 8 button version would be coming any time soon (or Bluetooth versions).

Saturn Version

For anyone that is wondering, the saturn version works with the USB4Maple dreamcast adapter in d-input mode. It registers as an arcade stick in 240pTestSuite. My only complaint is the shoulder buttons are tough to press. I don't think that would be an issue on dreamcast since the extra two face buttons work as the triggers. I am very happy with this product as a DC controller.

The 6 button controller we needed

I have tested all of the 6 button controllers on the market for pc, this is the only one I recommend moving forward the close second is the 8bitdo Xbox 10 button controller.

Buy It

Here is my long-overdue review of the SNES/SFC Reflex Ctrl. I absolutely love this board. It's my new go-to for using my favorite Super Famicom controller across various platforms, including MiSTer, PC, and Steamdeck. This controller is perfect for playing my favorite 2D platformers, whether they're new or old. I can't express enough how much I enjoy using a modern USB-C cable, which, along with incredibly low latency (less than 1ms), makes the experience seamless. Best of all, it's dongle-free! The Reflex Ctrl also offers a simple web GUI that allows you to customize your buttons and save your settings across all platforms directly to the board! It doesn't get any easier! Did I mention it can emulate a left or right analog stick for games frustratingly lacking d-pad support? Yeah, it's got that too. And switching modes is a breeze—just use a button combo, no need to access the web GUI. Overall, I give the SNES/SFC Reflex Ctrl 5 out of 5 stars. Given its price and rich feature set, I'll definitely consider purchasing more in the future.
