Experience the superior performance and protection of the MiSTer FPGA Pre-configured Bundle (with Aluminum Armor). Designed with the passionate user in mind, this bundle has already received rave reviews from satisfied customers all over the world. The case is even used by some of your favorite developers! The industrial-grade DE10-nano FPGA boasts a high max temperature rating of 100C. Trust in the durability and functionality of this top-of-the-line bundle.

No fan = no dust = no noise.

MiSTer doesn't require active cooling.

The case is the heatsink, dissipating internal heat to the exterior.

Includes all needed hardware for assembly including aluminum push buttons!

IO Board Button disclaimer

REQUIRES AN IO BOARD WITH ~4.25MM BUTTONS. All IO boards ever sold by misteraddons.com have the correct-sized buttons

WILL NOT WORK WITH IO BOARDS THAT HAVE TALL BUTTONS

USB Hub Requirements

REQUIRES A USB HUB WITH DC POWER JACK AND USB BRACKET. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE “C” SHAPED USB BRIDGE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A USB BRACKET, PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE HEADER PINS BEHIND THE MICRO USB PORT. Thermal Characteristics

This thermal image demonstrates the aluminum case's ability to dissipate heat. The yellow areas are the hottest and black is the coolest.

These measurements were performed in 2020, just before the case was released. Since that time, thousands have been sold and used all around the world. Rest assured the case provides both adequate cooling and protection. The FPGA used by the DE10-nano has a max temp rating (TJmax) of 100C. It's an industrial-class device and this aluminum armor is the best enclosure for it.

It's normal for case temperatures to reach 40-50C. That's 1/2 the rated temperature of the FPGA :)

These charts show measurements of a small heatsink with no fan (No Case (Heatsink), a traditional case with fan and heatsink, and the aluminum case measured on the top and on the heatsink arm itself.

Amazing

I just got my armor case and it is incredible. It was packaged in shipping very thoughtfully and the quality of the pieces feel extremely premium. As the DE-10 Nano appreciates in price it feels more and more worth it to get something that really protects it and this delivers. Very happy.

Awesome case

Beautifully machined and a joy to work with. Really enjoyed this build. Nice refinements have been made since the YouTube build guide e.g. higher collar on buttons, no need for nylon washers, onger VGA screws. Delivered quickly all the way to Scotland. Don't hesitate, this is a superb case.

Nice, sexy case!

This case takes the MiSTer to the next level. I love the cooling of the aluminum without needing a fan. Taking apart my MiSTer and rebuilding it to fit this case was a little work. Would have been nice to have printed step-by-step instructions on how to do it safely, but everything worked out and the end result is so nice.
