VERY tight on NES

If MiSTer Addons could share with me what I can do to make the adapter less tight on my NES, that would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm going to break something with how hard I need to press on the adapter to get it to fit on my NES.

Works good. Tight fit

The product works as intended however it’s kind of a tight fit. I’m sure that it will loosen up overtime, but when I tried inserting it into my Nintendo, it practically bent the plastic housing on my NES controller port from the force I was using to try to get it to go in. Product works well though, and I am satisfied with this purchase!
