While this does work, I found it inconvenient that this has two female VGA ports; especially since it’s not called out in the product description. While you can use it as a passthrough for your male VGA cable, the breakout board doesn’t have a male port to connect directly to an analog IO board. I had to use an additional male to female converter to use this. Unfortunately, that adds some additional strain on the VGA connections, resulting in some sag.
Hey, thanks for the review! I totally agree with you on the port strain, which is why I made it female to female so it's an in-line adapter. I'm not a fan of placing undue strain on ports, as your image shows. I'll add some detail to the product listing.
Is there a drawing of the board available so I can spec the spacing on the screw holes for a case?
I love light gun games and was ecstatic to see Mister Addons offer the IR emitters for the GunCon 3. After receiving them I set them up and put them to the test. I'm happy to say that they work great! I was able to use them on my MisterFPGA (note that you most likely will need to calibrate your gun which you can do by hitting F10 in the OSD) with the PlayStation core. My only regret was not buying two.
