Not necessary, but convenient

I bought this along with the MiSTer kit, which also includes a USB-C power adapter. I don't notice any differences in performance between one or the other, but it's good to have a second power option since I like to move my MiSTer around different rooms of the house :)

It's chunkier than the standard power supply that comes with the DE-10 Nano, but it's a great peace of mind making sure that any USB Hub is powered properly.
